How It Started:

My name is Benji, I'm 21, from northeast Ohio, and I adore music and nature too. Although I am the "Founder" of Grow in the Vine, I promise, I give God all credit for this project. While I plan to have some more help with this in the future, it's mainly just me for now.

A few months before this idea even came to me, I knew I'd have time in 2025 to do something impactful. I just did not know what; I considered many sorts of things like volunteer groups, even looking into volunteer firefighting. To keep it short, I couldn't find anything that I felt specifically called to do, and I didn't want to rush into anything just yet. Then I was given an idea.

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear." Matthew 13:16 NIV.

One night as I was thinking about my goals in life, I thought about how my number one goal should be to spread the gospel. I just wasn't entirely sure how to accomplish this. I like to think big, so I began to think about what I could do to personally make a lasting impact on others. Eventually, I came up with the idea of cards. Little business cards, but with Bible verses on them. A no-pressure way to get verse out to those in need, or open-minded. I thought that these cards could be given in two ways; 1) places to be found like on community boards, and 2) given out personally, attached to things that could be received. Things like water, popsicle's, fruit, cookies; just little things that can brighten anyone’s day.

Then, I thought of what else I could do to really spread this message. So I settled on a website. Something simple, just to provide information and resources for those genuinely interested in learning more about the Christian faith.

This is all how I would spread the gospel, I learned.
